Trinidad Lake Asphalt is the most robust and flexible naturally-occurring polymer in the world. It is sourced from the Pitch Lake at Punta La Brea in Trinidad, West Indies and is the core ingredient of Trinidad Chemical Resistant Lining (TCRL).

 

TRINIDAD CHEMICAL RESISTANT LINING (TCRL) is absolutely reliable in hostile chemical environments where chemical spillage is a hazard and it is the most appropriate system for dressing contaminated concrete. TCRL is used in heavy industrial and chemical environments as well as industrial tanking and waterproofing of roofs, parking decks, tunnels and basements.

TCRL is a fast-track installation,  acid and alkaline resistant and inert to most inorganic chemicals.

TCRL is durable and ideally suited for use to retrofit plants that are compelled to meet ISO9002 environmental compliance standards.

A&T has been worked extensively on retrofit and brownfield projects over the last two decades. A&T has now become the engineer’s lining of choice for fast track greenfield projects. One of the main advantages of TCRL is that there are NO JOINTS  at all across the entire lining.  In general, joints are the main cause of lining failures.

Another critical advantage is that TCRL  is flexible and does not bond to the substrate, therefore in new works any movement, settlement or surface cracks on the concrete does not affect TCRL – the lining remains independent of the surface bed.

TCRL can be laid within 48-72 hours of the new concrete being laid, saving time – allowing fast track to remain – FAST

TCRL is ideal for Brownfield and plant renovation projects because the TCRL can be laid whilst the plant is 0nline.  TCRL can also be applied to contaminated or damaged concrete saving civils costs and shut down time.  All A&T personnel have been trained in the relevant Safety, Health & Environment courses.  These courses and qualifications fall in line with the OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) as well as SHE and MHSA (Mine Health & Safety Act of 1997).
